Shiva is a Hindu God and is one of one of the most well-known Hindu gods to this day. Shiva is referred to the “Holy-Trinity” of Hinduism. Shiva has been around for many years in the Hindu religion, but did not come to be worshipped and evolved upon until later in the history of Hinduism. The way Shiva is character-wise, can be described to be one of the most original and not so simple to understand. There are three different aspects of a specific philosophy that pertains to Lord Shiva. The philosophy can be considered to be un-manifested. Manifested is considered to be very clear or obvious to one, as if someone saw it, they can understand and perceive the reality of what is occurring. Shiva also has a blue neck because he had taken in some poison which had come from the ocean when it was first created. (Shiva) He managed to suppress the poison but the skin on his neck had turned blue. Lord Shiva is believed to live on top of Mount Kailash, a mountain in the Himalayas. Shiva is also the only God that has children of his own. Shiva and his second wife Parvati have two sons, one is named Kartik and the other is Ganesh. Lord Hanuman is also seen to be one of Shiva’s sons born by his other wife. Shiva also had one daughter whose name is Ashoka Sundari. All of Shiva’s sons died in many different civil wars.
