The first and perhaps the biggest difference between the two religions is that a Hindu is born and a Christian is either born or is converted from other religions. Hinduism and Christianity are two very different religions with a vast difference in their specific beliefs. Sin, Salvation, Gods, and Death are just a few areas where these religions differ in beliefs. Spiritual perfection is the ultimate goal of Hinduism where Heaven is that of Christians.

The followers of Hinduism believe the Salvation is the release from the wheel of life, the cycle of rebirths, through which we must work to better ourselves, and realize our oneness with Brahman. Every person must work throughout each of his or her rebirths to obtain salvation. Christians do not believe this. They believe that Salvation is a free gift from God to all that follow. Hinduism believes in the rebirth and reincarnation of souls. Death is therefore not an end of everything, but a natural process in the existence of soul as a separate entity. The soul adjusts its course over and over again and returns to the earth to continue on its path. In Hinduism death is only a temporary end of physical activity.
