Musicians are united by one common goal: the making of good art. But some of today’s hottest hip-hop artists also happen to be successful entrepreneurs. They expanded their artist success with entrepreneurship.

It is possible to expand your artist success with entrepreneurship, you just need the right people (mentor/coach) and of course some guts. No guts, no glory.

Diddy, is an American rapper, record producer, actor, designer, and entrepreneur. Combs wants to be sure that he is an example for others. He wants people to know that success is possible with hard work, no matter where you start off in life and no matter where you come from. Sean launched his own production company, Bad Boy Entertainment, and has worked with artists like Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige and more. He has a clothing line, named "Sean John" and he has made many other investments. Sean Combs is worth approximately $730 million.

3. Jay Z

Shawn Carter Aka Jay-Z has gone from a street hustler to a world famous hip-hop artist and businessman. A major percentage of his fortune has come from his entrepreneurial ventures. As an entrepreneur and investor, Jay-Z co-owns the 40/40 club, he is the co-creator of the clothing line Rocawear. He is the former president of Def Jam Recordings, co-founder of Roc-A-Fella Records and the founder of Roc Nation. Jay-Z is also a certified MLB and NBA sports agent and founder of Roc Nations Sports. His net worth is estimated at around $650 million.
