Imagine a beautiful Sunday morning where every Christian prepares to go to church to hear the Word of God. After the choir or praise-and-worship group sings selected songs, the pastor comes up to speak Sunday's message. He starts with scripture reading and starts his sermon based on the scripture. However, he has to interpret the scripture with events that happen with the world. For example, if he discusses the subject about Jesus' suffering on the cross with 9/11 and the Ferguson shooting, he has to first understand the scriptural reference in order to interpret the significance of the text and to connect its significance to reality. It's simple tasks that could create a major impact in society today. With technology and social media being the medium of the Bible, every person can interpret the Bible differently without collaborating their ideas into one unified, purposeful motif. Even though people comprehend the scriptures differently, there is a constant theme that portrays most to all interpretations people make. For homosexuality, the historical context of homosexuality could have emphasis during the Old Testament than the New Testament. Besides understanding the literal context about the scripture, the historical context must be recognized because the perspective of homosexuality could be different from Moses' time to Jesus' time. Jesus has not emphasis homosexuality at all, based on the Gospel. However, Moses' words should not be neglected. God had planned his regulations on the Ten Commandments and in the first five books of the Bible. This means that how people see God's reaction to homosexuality could show that the sins of mankind were punished until God send his grace through Jesus' suffering. This could make sense if people interpret this context
