Kevin Xiong is Executive Assistant to the CEO. His previous role was the Director of the Human Resource. He has worked for Hmong American Partnership for 10 years. Also, he uses to organize SOY (Shadow of Yellow). Xiong is passion and love his community. Xiong stated, “If you are not passion about it, then it's right for you”.

HAP involves their clients in the advocacy process; organize, process, civic engagement process. The refugee, non-citizen, and citizen clients are an advocate by voting, volunteering, or donating so the state legislators will know who the people are impacted by their policy making. During Hmong Asian-American Day at the capital, the refugee, non-citizen, and citizens are able to voice their view by advocating, lobbying and talking to representatives. It is amazing how the organization has become well developed, known throughout the states and the process of being international. From my learning and experience interacting with Kevin Xiong, I believe Hmong American Partnership have great potential and is a strong organization. As well, their focal point on refugee and immigrant clients is a well organize and passionate concentrate. The practice methods I think benefits to the field of social work practice are having great leaderships such as Kevin Xiong who is passionate of its social actions.
