Holly Springs, NC is a small, charming town in Wake County. Founded by settlers in the early 180s, the town gets its name from the many Holly trees and springs that are in abundance throughout the town. If you are interested in moving to Holly Springs, you will find a tight-knit community, full of activities for the entire family.

As of 2014, the Census estimates there are 30,157 residents in the Town of Holly Springs. From 2000 to 2014, the population increased by 214.6% overall. Historically, Holly Springs has been named one of the fastest growing towns within North Carolina.

The school’s population is nearly 1,300 students in grades 6th-8th.
High Schools
Holly Springs High: Highly ranked high school enrolling students in grades 9th-12th. Over 2,000 students attend this high school.
Southern Wake Academy: Attended by 124 students, Southern Wake Academy enrolls grades 9th -12th.

SmartClass rated nearly 3,000 North Carolina schools and Holly Springs High School received a rating of 90 compared to the average rating of 61 for other North Carolina schools. Holly Springs residents can enjoy a host of recreational activities that cater to both children and adults. However, when the residents desire a little more, they are within an hour’s drive to three well-known universities with teams playing in the NCAA: Duke University, the University of Carolina at Chapel Hill, and North Carolina State University.
Additionally, hockey fans have easy access to the Carolina Hurricanes, who play their home games at the PNC arena located in Raleigh.
