When a homeless man goes in for a job interview, he will feel as if he does not have a shot, due to not having the proper knowledge. His background will not be able to support him, and if he does not have a place to call ‘home’, how would the company be able to make sure he will show up every day, and how he would get there? Society should be helping the homeless out and giving them the knowledge they need, so they can get back on their feet. Helping even the slightest bit would get some homeless to start pushing forward in life to make sure their futures are better that what it looks at the moment. Everyone has to start somewhere. Most mayors and leaders of cities are aware of the homeless communities and give them a “heads-up” about needing to vacate the premises. When the community finds out about having to leave, they end up back to where they started. Finding a place to call “home”, and to feel safe. It is hard enough for them to feel safe and find places to refer to as home, but when they are easily kicked out of an area that felt safe enough, they begin to wonder if they will ever find a secure place. There are some caring pedestrians that will lend out a helping hand. They will give the homeless community a place to stay, but only temporary, but in the end it will only lead others into protesting to get the homeless community out of their city (Cantor, Steven Tent City). People protest to get the homeless out of their city because they have their own homeless communities to deal with, and if they let other have land that belongs to someone it is ‘unfair’ to the rest of the homeless communities. People get upset because their town gets ‘infected’ with homeless and they do not have a way to get rid of them. It is much harder for a homeless person to get a job than a low-class or middle-class person. Most people just look the other way just because they are homeless. Companies do not believe the homeless will be fit enough to work for them. The homeless person’s background may not be clear enough for the company to feel satisfied hiring them. If they do not have the prior knowledge for the job, they will have to spend extra money to train them. Not everyone believes in the theory of everyone getting a second chance at life. New beginnings do not always end up new endings either. When a homeless person gets a job, their wage may be set a low standard because the company does not want to invest too much time into that person if they feel as if they will not accompany the company the way they want them too. Opportunities for the homeless are also hard to come by due to their reputation, being on the streets overall makes their journey to a better future harder. To have a job they must have a place to live and ways for the company to contact them. For this to happen, the homeless need an affordable place to live. Without a steady place to live, it lowers the chances greatly for the homeless to have a higher shot at getting the
