There’s a lot that happens in the world that we cannot control. We cannot prevent earthquakes, we cannot prevent droughts, and we cannot prevent all conflicts. But what we can prevent is homelessness. A person is considered homeless, when he or she sleeps rough, has no house, do not have rights to stay where they are. Firstly, I’ll share the viewpoint that the homelessness isn’t our problem, then, discuss why these people are homeless. Finally, I will discuss ways to solve homelessness. Why is homelessness our problem? Homelessness affects many types of people. The most that are affected are college students. According to 2013/2014 data in the UK , there are more than 60,000 college students that are homeless. Due to many factors, such as the rise of tuition cost, a parent losing a job, lack of affordable housing, and many more. People who live in poverty are most likely to become homeless. Families make up about 40% of the homeless. What can we do to solve homelessness? Now let’s look at ways to solve this problem.
