Why should people who go to work and hold a job be subjected to homelessness in the greatest country in the world? Many other middle-class Americans are too shielded by their almost perfect lives to even see this. Many of them even have the audacity to say that homeless individuals or the lower-class is just lazy. Barbara Ehrenreich directly
Decent, affordable housing should be a basic right for everybody in this country. The reason is simple: without stable shelter, everything else falls apart”(300) There are homeless shelters in place in communities with high poverty rate with the sole purpose of providing shelter so individuals and families have a place to stay and go out and try and get a job. While these families are not homeless they are always constantly being evicted and moving out. Moving trailer park to trailer park is not a stable home, it might as well be a homeless shelter.
Homelessness in baltimore is extremely sad and pitiful. Many people are homeless due to the fact they might have lost their job or they don’t have enough funds to provide for their family and pay for an adequate home. Some people just refuse to pay for rent, this will cause eviction from the home. This is what lead to homelessness, and its sad. The social issue that I picked is homelessness. Homelessness is a real issue, even if we don’t always see it. Homelessness doesn’t just mean you don’t have a roof over your head, it means you don’t have food, a good education, a healthy lifestyle, or a warm place to sleep every night. Some people don’t think very highly about homeless people, they think that it's their fault that they are where they are in life. Homelessness is going to end up becoming a bigger problem.
The amount of homeless people in Oklahoma City is unacceptable and must be fixed. The city should do more to help people that are homeless get back on their feet, because no one should have to live on the streets and feel like a second-class citizen. The homeless shelters are constantly bombarded with hundreds of hungry and hopeless people every night, and seeing people laying around and constantly asking others for money can make people feel uncomfortable and has been a sore sight for Oklahoma City for a long time. No one should have to live on the streets, it is inhumane, even though people make bad decisions that greatly affect their lives they should be given a second chance.

Did you know that California is known to be a state that holds one of the highest rankings for homeless population? Well, I have recently researched and a lot of the rankings for states containing the most destitute people, and I had the impression that California would be at least with one of the top 5 states. And my judgment with this topic was proven correct with most of the sources I have used to congregate data from. As a result, of California possessing a pretty excessive populace of citizens not inhabiting a proper shelter, there was a big dispute in San Francisco, California regarding officials mandating the needy to commute to another location due to the constructing of city buildings and the expansion of the so called “Super Bowl
Throughout history, countries have been facing challenges which their own citizens are not well informed of the issues. Individuals in the United States place the blame for the manners of society many times onto minorities, which become the scapegoats. Due to the misinformation from the media and other sources, the solutions which stem from these thoughts are often misleading. I want to be able to inform individuals about the problems which plague the United States, but also create solutions for them. I want to put the spotlight on issues which are often forgotten.
The current government is creating a situation where more families along with their children are experiencing homelessness. An individual may be considered homeless when they lack permanent housing and have to stay in shelters, abandoned buildings or vehicles, on the streets, or in other forms of unstable situations. Many homeless people start out with jobs and stable residences, but then social and economic factors intervene, causing a rapid change in their living situation causing them to leave, and live on the street. Even with the population of homeless keeps increasing, the government does not aid nor benefit the homeless because they only worsen the homeless problem by having laws that go against homelessness, not helping mentally ill homeless population, and having the lack of subsidized housing.
