Homer
The dictionary definition of Homeric is of, relating to, or suggestive of Homer or his poetry. Homer is the author of both The Iliad and The Odyssey, he is influential to the point where he has his own word and has caused poetry writers to reconsider their rules. Homer was a very influential writer who gave the world a different taste of poetry.
Homer was a very mysterious and unknown man “almost nothing is known about the life of Homer. He was most likely a Ionian Greek… According to the legend he was blind and made a living as an Internant Bard” (Literary Resource Center, pg. 1).
