Japanese manufacturer Honda has been totally wrong about the U.S. pickup truck lovers. The first generation of the Honda Ridgeline presented a whole-new approach to the segment. It was positioned as a Sport Utility Truck, had an unibody construction and several revolutional solutions like the dual-action tailgate and the in-bed trunk. But it doesn't help the model to get sales and it always was a slow-mover. Customers in this segment proved to be the most conservative in the world and they never favored the Ridgeline's outlandish look.
