As a student with many qualities, I believe that I should be in the NJHS. Many of the traits that I have as an individual would benefit the standards that the NJHS expects. For instance, I am dedicated, diligent, responsible, and a strong leader. One trait I show off daily is my dedication for school. My priorities are set on getting good grades and working hard on my school work.
Between writing a speech for Student Council, an application for NJHS, and trying to keep my grades at their best, I realized that if you want something, you have to work hard for it. Of course, this was something I already knew, but in seventh grade, these things all became much clearer. Now, more than ever, after seeing the results of working hard, I want to persevere and become a better person. This is exactly why I want to become an officer for NJHS, to not only help others, but strengthen my character. I believe that I’d make a great officer for many reasons, one of which being my passion for helping other people.
National Junior Honor Society is the start of everything. This group helps set me up for my years to come. Being in the NJHS it helps me get into the one in high school, which looks really good one college applications. Having national junior honor society for both middle school and high school would give me a better chance to get into a college I really want to get into. I’ve always wanted to be someone who could help or make a change in this world, instead of just trying to get through life easy.
By active community service, leadership roles, and hard work, I have learned the incredible importance of academic achievement, character, leadership, and service. Through these things, I have been substantially prepared by the Beta Club to serve others as I depart high school and
I continually work on developing my leadership skills by participating in various extracurricular activities and taking on leadership roles in class projects. Through these experiences, I have honed my skills in leadership, collaboration, and communication, which would be invaluable to the National Honor Society. The Service pillar is close to my heart as helping others is something that I have always enjoyed. I understand that giving back to my community is a vital aspect of being a responsible and compassionate citizen.
I was delighted after receiving the letter informing me I was eligible to become part of the National Junior Honor Society. It would be a privilege to be accepted into such a prestigious group as the one listed. The NJHS is known for helping students learn leadership skills and unlock their full potential and I firmly believe that I would love to be a part of it. It is an honor to be nominated for the National Honor Society. The fact that I was nominated proves to me that all of my hard work and dedication has not been for nothing. The National Honor Society is known for recognizing students who strive to achieve their best not only in school but in themselves and the community. I believe that I’m one of those students. Based upon my last two year at Matawan Regional I now have a 3.9 GPA and am ranked in the top 20% of my graduating class.
I’ve always thought that the National Honor society would be an excellent way to further become an active member of my community. I am an optimistic person who will always work extremely hard and fight for what I believe in. These characteristics will allow me to make positive and immense contributions to the chapter. I’ve always believed that improvement is the most important thing and there is always room for it. When I was in eighth grade I won an award for most improved.
Every week I spend time at the Morristown Medical Center as a volunteer, where I am able to help keep things functioning in the hospital at the highest speed possible and hopefully brighten a few patients’ days. Also, I’ve enjoyed helping refereeing youth basketball games for the past two seasons and being able to talk with the kids. It is a great opportunity to give back to a program which gave me so much in the five years I played in it when I was younger. Furthermore, I am excited for even more opportunities to have an impact on my community which being a part of National Honor Society would aid in.
I am extremely honored to be eligible for this opportunity to apply for the National Honor Society. Becoming a member of the National Honor Society has been a goal I set for myself since I was a student in middle school. I have been greatly looking forward to this moment for a very long time. Overall, I have worked incredibly hard these last two years to display a positive character and obtain qualities such as leadership, responsibility, and scholarship. I strongly believe I will be a productive and reliable member of the National Honor Society at Harvard H. Ellis Technical High School.
Now that I have been in The Fellowship Initiative for over a year, an extracurricular activity sponsored by JPMorgan Chase. I definitely see myself growing as a person. From advancing skills to building personal relationships with other people , I am glad that everything is falling into place in my life on a professional spectrum. In TFI we went on a trip this past summer to upstate New York for a camping trip called Outward Bound. For Outward Bound , we went away upstate for 10 days in the Catskill Mountains.
I will make sure to do my part by leading by example, serving my community and school, staying true to myself, and performing in school to the best of my ability. It would be an honor to be a part of such an extraordinary program in which I can better myself and my community. As a junior in high school, I was inducted into the National Honor Society for doing exceptionally well in my academic endeavors and actively participating in volunteer events. My contributions through this organization have made a significant impact on both my personal development and my community’s support services. The numerous volunteer projects in which I have participated have prepared me to continue helping others in the future. Through projects such as building houses from the ground-up with Habitat for Humanity, I have developed teamwork skills, discovered my management potential, and increased my social network, all while working to provide services for less fortunate individuals in my community. When I was 14, I saw my remarkable cousin walk across the stage to receive her award for all her years of dedication to be inducted into National Honor Society. She encompassed all the requirements for entrance into the National Honor Society and ever since then, I have had my mindset on following in her footsteps and stepping even farther to conquer the indefinite. As I opened the letter to be invited to apply for membership, I could not even remember the last time my eyes and smile sprouted that immense because to me, being nominated to be a member of the National Honor Society is an honor in itself. I would be thrilled to join such a society because of the limitless opportunities it would present to me. Joining NHS would allow me to grow as a person and do as much as I can for others.
Since my sophomore year, I have volunteered with the organization First Star, which works with children who are in foster care. I worked at their Greater Washington Academy, which aims to get high school aged foster kids in the DMV area thinking about college and helps prepare them for life outside of the foster system. I consider myself fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with these kids and watch them grow over the course of several years. Johns Hopkins’ focus on community service, especially the Presidential Day of Service, definitely increased my interest in the university. I care deeply about the communities I’m a part of, and I want a school that cares as well.
