I am applying for honors biology for many reasons. I believe that it would help to boost my academic experience, would help me out overall, and I love hands on projects. In high school I am really trying to challenge myself with my academics and social skills, so I thought that applying for biology would be a perfect fit. For example, I believe that honors biology would really help me work on my time management skills and since the class has a lot more expectations it would also help me hold myself more accountable. I also think that joining an honors science class in the first year will help me throughout the rest of the time I spend at CHS, in both future science classes and even others. For instance, pushing myself like this in the first year will make it so that in future years at CHS, and even college, I will be able to handle more workloads and even know the type of work schedule I will have later in life. I have poor time management skills and have some trouble asking for help. But despite all that I am determined and hard working. I have been working on my flaws, and they have significantly improved from where they were just a few months ago. When a teacher gives me an assignment or a project, I work my hardest to get it done and to do my best on it. Since I started working on myself, my grades and even my mental health have gotten better. I believe that by the time I get into high school, I will be ready for whatever my teachers and peers throw at me. I am working to improve myself every day and every day I get
