Before deciding to apply for the Honors Program at National Park College, I recognized that I aspired to be a part of something that not only challenged myself but to be a part of an organization that would make a significant impact on future students that attend National Park and the college itself. When I first was informed about the Honors Program I was considerably excited and anxious about what the program may intel and all the opportunities that would be provided to the students who were admitted. Many of my peers and teachers in my high school motivated and urged me to apply even with the chance that I may not get accepted. After the application process, I attempted to not bother myself with the prospect that I may or may not get admitted because I knew only the most exceptional students were going to be eligible. Luckily, I got accepted. Everything that was a concern became something that was a part of my daily routine. After the amphitheater was assigned as our semester-long project, various instructors came and taught us how to research different members and groups in the community, how to approach citizens about our amphitheater renovation correctly, and how to quantitatively gather data that pertained to the overall structure of the amphitheater. All the students in the Honors Program were assigned in various groups to develop a script that would be emailed out to either the community, National Park College, or numerous high schools in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Luckily, I was able to be in the community group. Dr. Christian helped each student group develop a thorough and inviting script that would later be sent to business throughout the Hot Springs
