Hotel California When growing up we all have dreams. Some dream of love, money, and success. It is never that easy. The "American dream" can be something hard to reach. I remember growing up always wanting to go to Hollywood and when I finally did I saw the dirt, trash, and people with crushed dreams. Some people have said Hotel California by The Eagles is about hell. The song to me shows how our biggest heavens can become our worst hells. By using symolism, The eagles have a hotel be an example for our dreams bad side. "I was thinking to myself this could be heaven or this could be hell." The guy who is going to this hotel is so tempted and drawn to this certain woman. I think on our path of life we can fall for temptation like drugs, alcohol or lust. There are many stars like Eazy E, Elvis, Lidsney Lohan, and etc.. "She got a lot of pretty pretty boys she calls friends." That is an example of someone who got caught up in lust. "And she said "We are all just prisoners here, of our own device." I believe that shows how they all knew what they were getting themselves into and got trapped anyways. …show more content…
The way the song starts out reminds me of a kid going to Disneyland the first time amazed and felling like they could jus live there! "Welcome to the Hotel California such a lovely place..They living it up at the Hotel California" They go on describing all the good things about the hotel as in the women, champagne on ice, and the feast in the masters chambers. Soon they realize that the monster that they created (in themselves) can't be killed. The man in the song tries to leave when the night man says "We are programmed to receive You can check out any time you like, but you can never
