In the book “ Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet” by Jamie Ford it’s about Henry Life. He risks his life for keiko. Waited to meet her throughout his life. Then by the end of the book, he gets to meet keiko again. So, If you wait for what you want, It’ll come to you the way you truly need it.
First, Henry was actually really in love with keiko when he was with her. It saids so here,” ‘I came here thinking, I’d be sneaking you out, not you sneaking me in’ ‘And how are you going to do that?’...’ Give you my button’...’you are the sweetest,Henry. And I wish I could, I really do. But you’re going to be in enough trouble’ “ (Jamie Ford 227-228). He’d put his oun life in danger just so Keiko could live with him. “ Let her know that he’d be leaving for China’...’meet her one last time, in front of the Panama Hotel ” (Jamie Ford 252). He even tried to meet her one last time at the hotel after two year. But she didn’t come, so by the time he was an old man he’d never got to see her.

“ ‘ I found her pops’...’you would never do this for yourself, so I did it’...Last time someone laid out a suit and a pair of dress shoes with a ticket purchased for a faraway place, Henry refused to go. This time, Henry refused to stay” ( Jamie Ford 276-277). He was so excited to know that she was still alive to that day. He really wanted to meet her cause that’s what he was waiting for his whole life. “ When he turned around, Keiko was standing there. The grown-up woman Keiko had become...handing him a glass of iced green tea...They stood there, smiling at each other, like they had done all those years ago, standing on either side of that fence. ‘Oai deki te. . .’ She Paused. ‘Urehii desu,’ Henry said, softly.” ( Jamie Ford 285 ). At the end, they were reunited and became friends
