It seems that people may wonder why is it important to study the history of the ancient world civilizations. This question has a more significant meaning to us than we think because the ancient civilizations shape how we are today. Whether they are yours or not, the study of our ancestors will tell us stories that may lead us to what we believe in or how to face problems they have encountered. History repeats itself and knowing how they managed the same issues we are currently facing will help us improve each time to prevent “it” from happening in the future. These cultures were some of the first humans on the planet earth who developed a government, new human innovations, inventions, etc. They had to figure everything out from having no knowledgeable background, so they had to figure everything out and build from the ground up. Doing so started the necessary foundation in which we, as a human race, have built upon. We need to start at the roots of a tree to find some problems in our society and a way of life. Looking deeper into history can benefit us more than harming. This is very important to us because it is the origin of human civilizations. If we do not understand the background of something, then we can’t make what we have today any better than what it used to be. It is essential that we can learn exactly where we came from, who we are, what paths we took to get to where we are today. Going through life not knowing anything would be extremely difficult. In China, they had the Chinese ritual bronzes, which held sacrifices and ritual meanings. These were objects found that were left over the Chinese Bronze Ages. The Roman Republic was brilliant and provide us with knowledge of their own that we still use today. The Latin language that they have created is the origin for a lot of the words in our languages such as English, French, and Spanish. The fact that about 28% of English words are originated from Latin should make studying latin worthwhile. Romans were ruthless and clever with their tactics and plans for battles. The scene from the Gladiator movie where the initial encounter took place in the forest. They used the dogs to find their enemies so that they could surround them and get ready to attack. Then one of the archers lit an arrow with fire to shoot it up into the sky as if it were a flare that we use today so that the base troops could see it to know when and where to shoot their fired arrows and catapults at the enemies. Learning things like this are very important to us because everything they do is just an innovation for us, an example may be that fired arrow shot up into the air. The fire arrow acts like a flare which was invented later down the road. Everything the ancient civilizations did was just the roots to our lives
