The presentation of Alexander Flemings strengths and why he should stay in the balloon was full of arguments and information about his life. He had a strong introducing sentence which caught the attention of an audience and made him seem instantly like the most important person in the balloon. This did not last long though, as straight away after the introduction he mentioned his accidental discovery and his contribution to other peoples work and not much of his own. `There was only a slight explanation of the actual actions Fleming took to develop his find into a biological proof and into a working medicine for the ill. A main issue with the speech he made was that he did not explain what he did, only what he helped towards, which does not provide sufficient reason for him to stay in the theoretical balloon. The main body of the speech however was slightly uncomfortable to watch as he read a lot from paper and was not completely comfortable with speaking the words which he had written. There could have been significantly more interaction such as a PowerPoint presentation to add a visual aspect and movement to stop the stationary presentation from becoming dull. Fleming could have ended with a stronger point and less of a repeat of his argument which made it difficult to feel like it was finished. There could have been significantly more audience participation which would have strengthened his argument by catering to the needs of the audience and the gaps in their new knowledge.
