“There will never be a new world order until women are a part of it”. Alice Paul was a very important part of the Women’s Right Movement. She made a huge difference in how women got the privilege to vote. Paul did not believe that men could do almost everything but women had a certain amount of respect. Alice Paul impacted the citizens of the United States by fighting for equal rights for women,working with government, and having a career in politics.
Alice Paul was raised by a Quaker family. She was born January 11,1885. Paul started the Women’s Right Movement early in her life. She went to many schools, and got many diplomas. The first major impact was the Rights For Women. She started this acted with Lucy Burns and other people who thought that women should have equal rights. She went to jail several times because she marched down streets and also at the White House. Every time she was in jail she refused to eat. The police thought it was a good idea to put her in an asylum, but that did not work how they wanted it to. The second major impact was with the government. She impacted the government because of what she believe in, she was a suffragist and a feminist. That means that she believed in women’s right and voting rights.
