During World War II. Propaganda was something so big that it occurred during and had many ways to perform and act on. Propaganda was used throughout the war, for rulers or any form of government in order to get what they wanted to benefit themselves and/or their countries. This paper will explain who used propaganda, how it was used, and why propaganda was used. There were many different forms of propaganda that were used during the war. With everything that was happening during the war, something commonly known as “Domestic Propaganda” grew to be very popular and used by many people. During the war, people read newspapers just about every day in their lives. This allowed for rulers and others to use propaganda in newspapers to influence and steer the community towards where they wanted. So rulers began to publish more and more papers in the attempt to get what they desired. An example of this would be the communist party launching their “Daily Workers”, it was such a success that it sold more than 1 million copies in just one day. This is exactly what these people wanted. This cinema became something so big that people started using it to perform propaganda. Over 90% of British productions were American. This gave the British market a greater and larger audience to influence and control. This also allowed for a British Monopoly Broadcasting Company to be formed and gain control over people. The “BBC” believed that broadcasting was so powerful that alone it would be enough to get what was desired. “BBC” leader Reith believed that they could use broadcasting to cover important daily problems in society. Which would be helpful for them to get to their goal which was to cover important daily problems within the
