These values, ideas, and accomplishments continue to greatly influence various aspects of contemporary Western society. Therefore, I fully agree that ancient Greece has profoundly shaped modern Western culture, and this can be demonstrated through numerous examples and evidence in this week's assignment. 1/ Philosophy and Science One of the most significant and early contributions of ancient Greece to the modern West was in the realm of philosophy.
