During his presidency Andrew Jackson, the 7th president of the United States took office in 1829 and stayed in office until 1837 and was the founder of the Democratic party. Andrew Jackson belongs on the $20 bill because he tried to get rid of the national bank, what he accomplished with foreign affairs, and he got rid of the national debt for the first time in history. One reason why Andrew Jackson belongs on the $20 bill is that he tried to get rid of the national bank.
