Benjamin has a man of many abilities. Since he is a professional magician, he wrote a book called “Secrets of Mental Math” explaining his techniques and lighting fast ways to do long multiplication. This is more of a guide to make amazing math tricks to try and promote math because he believes that math doesn’t get enough attention. He also wrote another book called “Proof that Really Count”, which explains that math is used to attempt to comprehend these patterns. This book was published in November 13, 2003 and received many honors in the math community. According to Arthur Benjamin there are many ways to attack math multiplication because of the after many patterns we have found. For example a two digit numbers by another two digit number have a pattern that is almost too easy to figure out. In order to figure out this you have to use the number l l as for first number against any two digit number. Second you must add the two single digits in the two digit number and add it. Third once you add it you get that number and put it in the middle of the two digit number. After that you would be your final answer. Another thing he showed the people in his show is that, with the trick he is about to show us all numbers that go up or down side to side or diagonal will equal the same number. In this trick, Mr. Benjamin uses a square divided into 16 small squares. He begins the trick with asking 3 random people for month, year and day. Once he does that he puts these numbers in the top of the little squares and starts to put his numbers in. Once done he say that all the numbers going up or down, left to right or diagonal will equal the same number. He said depending on the year it lands on, if it’s odd or even there is an equation to it. This example that I just explained is one of the many patterns found in Mathematics. Is important for the math community because it shows that math is fun instead of boring. The feeling or being able to do short cuts in
