Babe Ruth is an influential figure in American History for a multitude of reasons. His primary contributions were made through how he changed the game of baseball. The thing that makes Babe Ruth stand out the most is the way he played the game. Through the years of baseball, he changed how people thought of baseball. His life spanned fifty-three years from birth on February six, 1885 to death on August 16, 1948 caused by esophageal cancer.
