Benjamin Franklin was one of the most influential people in American History. Though his influence on education is less known than his inventions. His work on electricity, his practical inventions during the Enlightenment period. For that, he became one of the most famous American scientists during said enlightenment period. What made Benjamin Stand out is that he did not believe in the standard method of teaching and education. He pointed out how personality is shaped by one's environment, therefore everyone learns differently. He also favored studying the trading language in America, English, over the classical languages. It's really surprising how Benjamin Franklin's contribution to education wasn't as noticed as his political standing as one of the founding fathers because he really shaped the education in the United States of America. after many years of success, Franklin's University of Pennsylvania established the first instruction in medicine which was a big step for humanity as it opened many doors in the health department. His education became a "cash value" meaning that getting said education increased the potential for wealth, even though it was obviously different from his other philosophical views on education.
