The Enlighten era which is also known as the age of reason was a European movement in the late 17th and 18th centuries that emphasized reason and individualism rather than tradition. It was influenced by many philosophers like Descartes, Locke, and Newton. Many positive things came out of the enlightenment like the scientific revolution, the English revolution, the print revolution, and the protestant revolution Benjamin Franklin was a one of the Founding Fathers.
