Achaeans Here comes our Lord Adom all rise in respect to our king.We welcome my colleagues and soldiers.Apollo says have you told your colleagues about the outcome of the war.A plague was sent from apollo causing the deaths of many of my soldiers.It was a hard fought war the trojans were good.Apollo beg for his daughter that was the reason for the plague. After ten days of suffering I decided and Achilles calls an assembly of the Achaean army and asks for a soothsayer to reveal the cause of the plague.Calchas, a powerful seer, stands up and offers his services.Though he fears retribution from Agamemnon,Calchas reveals the plague as a vengeful and strategic move by Chryses and Apollo.Agamemnon flies into a rage and says that he will return Chryseis only if Achilles gives him Briseis as compensation.We as the have to come into agreement to our decision on the war.Or we can find a hero who can save us from this crisis.Later on Achilles prays to his mother, the sea-nymph Thetis, to ask Zeus,king of the gods,to punish the Achaeans.But the end of the plague on the Achaeans only marks the beginning of worse suffering.The war has still continued for Ten years we are losing men by the minute.The next day trojans sent their men to the central palace …show more content…
