In today’s world we see China as one of the most educational incentive countries in the world. Their country is known for its educational values, tradition, and culture. However, China was not always like this. During the Spring and Autumn Period after the Zhou dynasty, China was experiencing a ideological crisis. Many old traditions and values were deteriorating including education. Confucius was one of the main people who brought back and added to these values, leading to one of the main philosophies present in China which is Confucianism. Although much is known about his accomplishments, little is known about his background and early life. The relationship between a master and a student was one his most important teachings. The idea that the master is a wise, old, teacher and the student does his best to imitate the master’s lessons and teachings in everyday life. His new ideas taught people to teach not only subjects like mathematics and reading, but a good teacher in his eyes is one who also teaches ideas that can’t be learned in a lesson textbook like the values of love, respect, responsibility and other moral concepts are what Confucius also wanted people to focus on. He expresses this idea in a quote saying “ Everything has beauty, but not everyone sees it.” What he means by this is that love is a feeling that one isn’t born with, rather it is something that is taught and when one is taught love one can then find the love and beauty in everything around them. As stated earlier during Confucius’s life China was divided. Confucius had influence bringing these feudal states back together by giving them all a common goal in providing beneficial education to kids.
