Think about someone changing your whole life, but you know nothing about this person. This is exactly what happened in Ancient Greece with Draco the Law Giver. Little is know about his life besides him being born in 650 BC, and dying in 600 BC. He was the first recorded legislator of Athens. Along with that he made an impact on many lives with Draconian constitution also know as Draco's Code. We all know that governments differ and he just helped lay out this government. Draco was a very accomplished person, from making the first comprehensive constitution to the first legislator but what were some other things he did. Draco isn't know for the best things he is most prominently known for his harsh punishments for minor crimes. In his laws he made it so almost every crime could be sentenced by death. Before he was a Law Giver he was a junior archons appointed by Aristotle. The junior archons job were to write laws but people believe Draco's was the first comprehensive writing of laws. The reason he wrote this constitution was because of the dire need for comprehensive written laws in Ancient Greece. Before these written laws it was all oral laws that could be made up on the spot if the guards wanted to arrest somebody.
