There have been many theories about the death of Edgar A. Poe. Many of these theories includes brain tumor, heart disease, flu, alcoholism, rabies, etc. The stories have been supported but, how accurate are they? Out of all the different theories, alcoholism and rabies are the most accurate ones. But, the most common and accurate one is that Edgar A. Poe died because of rabies.
Poe's death has always been a mystery, but my belief is that Edgar Allan Poe died from cooping. Edgar Poe was found dead in front of a bar on October 7, 1849 which happened to be the night of an election. Elections were held at bars so more people would come and vote for a certain canidate. Poe was found in a different person's clothes which makes me believe that he was dressed in different clothing so that he could vote multiple times at multiple places. Poe was found dead in Baltimore which makes my point of that he died of cooping even stronger.
Many said Edger Allan Poe died of rabies or alcohol, but l have another idea of his death. In fact, to me , he died because of a brain tumor, that alcohol helped aid into his death. He became an orphan as a child and was adopted by John Allan and Frances Kelling from Richmond, in Virginia. He started his studies at University of Virginia in Charlottesville in February 1826. At age 18, Poe moved to Boston and quickly arranged the publication of his first book, a collection of poems under the title Tamerlane.
In the early morning hours of October 7, Poe calmly breathed a simple prayer, "Lord, help my poor soul," and died. His cause of death was ascribed to "congestion of the brain." No autopsy was performed, and the author was buried two days later.
