However, the British Government was in serious debt at the time of its extreme taxing of the colonists. National debt doubled from £75 million in 1754 to £133 million in 1763, as money to finance the war was borrowed heavily from British and Dutch bankers. (website about taxes) Because of this enormous debt, the British needed to make up for it by setting new taxes into affect. It is arguable that the debt was in part a burden of the colonists ' as the war ended to their advantage, and was undertaken upon their account. It is also debatable whether or not the colonies were obligated to help out their mother country in this way.

The colonists were taking the Native American's property and taking advantage of the native Americans in the trade by getting them drunk so they could get more land. King Philip, the religious leader the Native Americans.
Due to their recent war with the French, Britain and its colonies were in debt. Britain turned to the colonies as a source of revenue to pay back money, and Parliament passed acts placing taxes and tariffs on the colonies and American trade. Following the revolution, the United States was in debt to France, who helped them fight Britain during the war and supplied money, troops, and supplies. Some Americans demanded paper currency and equal distribution of property (Doc. G). Although the manufacturing industry was growing in America, it was growing very slowly.
Along with the British raising taxes, they also started making Americans allow British soldiers to live in their houses. The British government elected people in England to be the lawmakers and the Americans felt like the people in England would not understand their needs. With all these things occurring, the Americans never even considered the freedom from England. When the war started, the Americans came to realize it was their freedom they were fighting for and they were going to be independent. As the war went on, the Americans fought harder for their beliefs and freedom.
The United States kept trying to expand territories westward but Great Britain interfered. Certainly, the Native Americans opposed, creating one goal, protecting their land. The White expansion was not going to be tolerated, especially that the expansion meant a decrease in the Native American population. Americans received reports of the British siding with Tecumseh to seize the enlargement of white settlers. The British did not respect the colonization in the New World and were not fond of the idea that the United States being a newly independent nation.
If England had prevented the American Revolution the US might have been more like Canada. If England had defeated the American Revolution, the American Civil War might never have happened, but the treaties with the several Native American Nations might have come more close to being honoured than they ended up being. In any event, it looks likely that the British Empire and Commonwealth would have been strengthened, and much less likely that the resources of America would have been available to combat the German/Austrian alliance MUCH sooner than 1917.
Taxes! After the French and Indian War, the British government needed money to pay for the cost of protecting the colonists from the French and Indians. The British government approved several taxes including the Stamp and Tea Acts to help pay for the costs of the war. The colonists were expected to pay these taxes.
The cost of the war was over 75 million in 1754 and 133 million by 1763. Because of debt, the British needed to find ways to pay it off. One of many ways was to impose taxes on settlers and the colonists. Whether it was on items, materials and/or land, tax was imposed without the people’s permission. This action and others ultimately led to dissatisfaction of the colonists and resulted in rebellions and revolutions across the land.

Throughout the late 1400’s and the 1500’s, the world experienced many changes due to the discoveries of new lands and peoples that had been never been visited before. The new-found lands of the Americas and exploration of Africa by the Europeans led to new colonies and discoveries in both areas. It also brought different societies and cultures together that had never before communicated, causing conflict in many of these places. While the Europeans treated both the Native Americans and West Africans as inferior people, the early effects they had on the Native Americans were much worse. Beginning in the late 1400’s, many different European explorers started to look for new trade routes in the Eastern Hemisphere in order to gain economic and religious power.
There have been plenty of encounters with Native Americans being forced from their land but this is one of the most significant. Native Americans had three options when settlers first came: they could assimilate with the encroaching European population, they could be relocated, or they could genocide. While being relocated there was major death count. To stop the death count from theses relocations Congress attempted to create a separate Homestead Act for the Natives called the Dawes Act but it failed. So instead of helping the Native Americans they decided to turn them into European Natives and change their ways.
Natives in the American Revolution. In 1776, A revolutionary battle took place in order to protect Indian lands from colonists that were trying to steal Indian lands. In this colonial battle, not only white people who lived between India's prior the American war, revolution were involved, but also British people. Furthermore, both the British people and white people tried to gain India's tribes so they would have more advantages in winning the battle.
When the Europeans began colonizing the New World, they had a problematic relationship with the Native Americans. The Europeans sought to control a land that the Natives inhabited all their lives. They came and decided to take whatever they wanted regardless of how it affected the Native Americans. They legislated several laws, such as the Indian Removal Act, to establish their authority. The Indian Removal Act had a negative impact on the Native Americans because they were driven away from their ancestral homes, forced to adopt a different lifestyle, and their journey westwards caused the deaths of many Native Americans.
In the American war many of the Natives sided with the British to try and defeat the colonists and regain their lands. In this time western Pennsylvania and New York became savage battlegrounds.
