In the “Narrative of Frederick Douglass”Douglass talks about how slavery affected both slaves and slaveholders.It also talks about ho douglass made a change in the world of slavery.Slavery took place in the south and ended in the north.Frederick Douglass took part in a lot of this .For example the 30 human rights.This essay will show how he throw light on the american slave system.

Frederick Douglass had a lot to do with the 30 human rights.He had escaped from slavery and gone to the north,Like many other saves.When they were in slavery they were treated very badly.On page 16 it says “I was seldom whipped by my old master and suffered little from anything else than hunger and cold.I suffered much from hunger,but much more from cold.”This shows how badly he was treated and how much he suffered.

When Douglass’s position differed from those who defended slavery he thought different than other people.He wanted to have rights.For example the right to know his age and his birthdate,or the right to know your family and his parents.On page 1 the text says “I have no accurate knowledge of my age,never having seen any authentic record containing it.”later on it continues …show more content…

On page 60 the text says “I honor those good men and women for their noble daring,and applaud them for willingly subjecting themselves to bloody persecution by openly avowing their participation in the escape of slaves.”This shows that the underground railroad had seen the slaves and all the things they had done to them.They also were a part of slavery in the past but escaped and that’s how the underground railroad was
