According to Sir Ferdinand Dalberg-Acton, “Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power tends to corrupt absolutely.” To understand this quote, one must look at historical figures that proved to be corrupt. For instance, Muammar Gaddafi who came in power in Libya during the 1960s. For many years, Gaddafi took advantage on his power, which lead to the downfall of Libya during his years of leadership. He was a corrupt leader because he was abusing the basic human rights and the rights of a ruler and he is the man that will not let things stand his way of getting something. For example, he interfered with the military in Africa, supported terrorists, and neglecting the needs of the Libyans when they were in desperate need of resources. And by that,
