Fahrenheit 451, by Ray Bradbury, is a book set in a futuristic world where technology is everywhere and books have been outlawed all over the country. Guy Montag the main character in the book job is to burn the banned books. His actions and views did change dramatically from the beginning to the end with the help of other characters. Which is the focus of this paper. At the beginning of the book he was just like everyone in the city. He lived a normal life with his normal job of being a fireman. He never really had a thought of trying to break the law or disobeying. He also just acted like everyone else not practically nonexistent with becoming a slave to their technology. Most of his beliefs came from what he was taught from the government.
