In the following year, he moved to Western District of North Carolina which is in Tennessee and became a prosecutor. Afterwards, he started gaining a fortune and later married Donelson Robards in 1791. On June 1796, he got elected to The House of Representative. The next year, Jackson resigned from the House of Representative and won the U.S senate. 1798, Jackson had to resign again due to financial difficulties, he then became a judge of the superior court of Tennessee. Henry Clay was known as the best lawyer since he never lost a client and was specialized in Criminal Law. In, 1810 Clay had left The Senate to run for The House of Representative. After winning election to Congress, he became the speaker of the house. He then later became the leader of War Hawker which is a group of young men who favored war with England in order to gain new territory for the U.S. Clay later got elected to the Congress in 1815 to become the speaker, but then step down again on 1820.
