Arianna Hip-Hop is one of the most popular genres of music today with artists like Post Malone, Kendrick Lamar, and Travis Scott growing in popularity . But there is more to Hip-hop than it being a genre of music,it’s many other things as well its a culture and away of dance. The question is how did it all begin? How it all began The culture of hip hop all began with graffiti which spread to New York in the 1970’s. Though it was illegal it was a way for people to express themselves. Some graffiti artists, also known as writers, were apart of gangs who wrote their gang names to mark territory. Others who weren’t apart of gangs gave themselves nicknames or tags to promote their art and make a name for themselves. Other DJ’s like Afrika Bambaataa used their wide knowledge of musical genres that rivaled dj herds style of djing he later became The Godfather of hip hop.
