Sir Isaac Newton was one of the most influential and recognized figures in history because of his achievements in both the math and science fields. He accomplished a lot and changed the world with his astounding knowledge. Without his discoveries the world would be viewed through very different eyes and people wouldn’t see it as the amazing, unbelievable, and almost impossible world that it is. There is still a lot that is unknown to humanity, but Newton contributed greatly to shining light on the unknowns. He likely saw the world in such a way that even though the unknown was scary, it was also so beautifully thrilling that his curiosity couldn’t be extinguished. Newton was born on December 25, 1642 in Lincolnshire, England. His father died before his birth and his mother later remarried. He mostly stayed with his grandmother because he held a strong dislike for his stepfather. He was a student at King’s school in Grantham until 17 when tried his hand at being a farmer. While at Trinity College, he discovered the generalized binomial theorem, which set the stage for an expanded mathematical system that advanced in calculus. He then published a piece of work called The Principia, it centered on infinitesimal calculus in geometric form. He also worked on cubicle curves in relation to the Euclidean plane, this created the chance for amazing discoveries in math and science when others expanded on what he started. Many discoveries in optics were made by him, such as, the reflecting telescope and theories of light and color. Moreover, he created the three laws of motion. With his unique work he received a lot of praise. This led to his becoming the Lucasian Professor of Mathematics in 1669. He also invested a significant time learning and writing about religion and studying alchemy. The greatest achievement that he had, however would have to be his discovery of gravity (Isaac
