You would expect a professional athlete to only care about their sport, and get better at it. Not Katie Ladekie, with seven Olympic gold medals, 21 world championships, and one of the best swimmers ever. She is helping kids through STEM, advocating for mental health, and equality in sports. If it weren't for Ladecky, the world's kids would not be educated in STEM. Katie Ladeck is making a difference and changing the world for the next generation. Ladecky knows what she is talking about, she went to Stanford University and majored in psychology. By spreading the word of mental health importance, she is helping people learn the importance of mental health. By advocating for it, she is helping out society and the world in the long term. In addition to advocating for mental health, she also helps kids in STEM. Another way Ladeck is helping change the world for the better is by educating kids in STEM. STEM is an abbreviation for four connected areas of study: science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Ladecky and Panasonic partnered in 2020 to educate kids in STEM.
