So after high school Ken Griffey Jr. entered the draft he was known as “The Kid” since his father was in the league while entering the MLB Draft. Ken Griffey Jr. and Ken Griffey Sr. were the first father son athletes to play in the league at the exact same time. So his first season in the league was absolutely electric. He made the Major League team (the Seattle Mariners) at nineteen years old. He hit for a .359 with two home runs and 26 RBI’s in only 26 spring training games. Ken had so much hype about him, everybody loved him, they like the way he played, his batting stance, his play style, how he wore his hat backwards and made it famous, everything. Ken Griffey Jr. was such a likeable baseball player to watch on the diamond playing center field for the Mariners. After three full seasons in the majors, Ken has established himself as an insane power hitter. Showing how good he played he made his first All-Star team. He hit so many home runs that season he was also elected
