The world of work changed massively from 1750 - 1900. Whether it was in terms of transport, technology, agriculture or education we see how there were massive changes during this period of time. However there were certain factors, which affected the ways people lived. One of the factors that did this was the word of work.
The world of work changed significantly during this period. In 1750, we see how agriculture was one of the most important industries during that period of time. Most industries were small scale and were usually based in people's homes or workshops attached to their homes. They only had limited sources of powers. In order for a machine to work, they had to provide energy to it via water wheels, horses or via hands/feet. However by 1900 WHAT HAPPENED...

It was education that significantly improved their lives. Education enabled people to read and write, allowing them to have a better job, which results in them to receive a better salary. The better their salary, the easier their life would be. Yes, the way they worked changed due to the improvements made in technology but if those inventors had not received education, the industrial revolution would not have been as significant as it was. Education changed drastically during this period of time. In 1750, we see how most children in England did not go to school at all; only a very few could write. With only two universities in England, we see how many did not receive the required education. However, by 1900 we see how all of this changed. School was compulsory for all five to twelve year old, this meant that more people were able to read and write. With there being ten universities in England, we see how education was improving as time
