Throughout history there have been many civil rights activists who have inspired and changed the world. These Activist create movements whose purpose is to create a progressive society with equal justice and opportunity for all. There were two movements that were particularly important in the United States during the 1920s and the mid 1950s. In those movements were activists such as W.E.B. DuBois, Marcus Garvey, Booker T. Washington, Martin Luther King Jr., Thurgood Marshall, and Malcolm X. When looking at each activist and their beliefs it is apparent that there are similarities between the older activist and younger ones. All wanted equality among races, but when discussing how to obtain it their paths had differed.

Martin Luther King Jr Martin Luther King Jr. wrote a speech called “I Have a Dream”, this speech was about helping Africans Americans get rights back to them which is also called the Civil Rights Movement. His audience was a huge group of people at the Lincoln memorial, they weren't just white or African Americans, it was a colorful mix of both. Another thing MLK wrote was his “Letter From Birmingham Jail”. He was writing to a group of 8 clergymen (male priest), he's responding to the unequalness from the newspaper he read.

Dr. King and Malcolm X both respected civil rights movement leaders have used violence and nonviolence to their advantage to achieve the goal of African American civil rights. Both respected leaders conducted many acts to achieve the same reward with contrasting methods, even with Dr. King is Christian and Malcolm X a Muslim. America should have confronted the inequalities of the 1960’s by creating a peaceful protest and movement, but if civil rights and peace for are not given, then violence protests should take place in a certain amount of time.
During the 1960s, the country was in upheaval which caused division between the government and the citizens. Two influential men of the South, George C. Wallace and Martin Luther King, cry out to America in favor of freedom, nevertheless their understanding of freedom of choice was conflicted. The Civil Rights Movement was at a pinnacle state when Wallace and King clarified their beliefs pertaining to true freedom and who was entitled them. To be honest, I will be able to fight through and take all that abuse for something that I believe in. Especially, If I strongly believe in it and would want the world to know. I will go through anything and everything to make sure the world know what I am trying to bring to them. I have lots of inspiration to help me go through all that abuse and violence.
To change the world, one must use their words to give the sense that the change is for the better. To be able to make people feel things with your words is a skill necessary for those who want to change the world.
