This world is composed of two types of people, the selfish and selfless. Selfish people only have a concern for themselves and they do not worry about anyone else. On the other hand, selfless people are the exact opposite by showing great regards to others besides themselves. Martin Shkreli would happen to be one of the selfish people in this world. He raised the price on the drug Daraprim and now thousands of people are suffering because they cannot afford it and critics are pointing fingers at Shkreli for the many deaths. I believe that his action was very unethical and even though it is something legal, nothing should be done to harm the society. Everyone knows that it is not easy to maintain a business, especially with so many rivaling companies trying to also become number one. But doing something to only benefit yourself should be a last resort. Drugs made to cure diseases should be reasonably priced so that the people who need them can actually purchase them; otherwise, what is the point in making these drugs?
