Rock and roll in the 20th century became very iconic to the music industry. Two people in particular changed the way music was thought of, those people being Mick Jagger and Elvis Presley. Jagger and Presley were and are still worldwide stars. They effected and impacted the culture in which they lived in. They both had extraordinarily great music careers, winning many different awards and having number one hits. They both have their names in The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Mick Jagger and Elvis Presley had both different and similar childhoods, music careerand personal lives. Mick Jagger was born on July 26th 1943 in Dartford, Kent England ("Mick Jagger Biography"). However this band didn't last long ("Mick Jagger"). Mick Jagger and Keith Richards eventually formed the band The Rolling Stones in 1962. However their marriage ended in 1979 with a divorce. While married they had one kid together. Jagger remarried in 1990 to Jerry Hall. This marriage too ended rather quickly ending in 1999. Jagger and Hall had four kids together. Jagger also has had two other children with two other women. Jagger has admitted to having a drug problem in his life. In 1967 police found illegal substances in Keith Richards home which was traced back to Jagger. Jagger along with Richards was arrested but the charges were later dropped.
