Napoleon was a military commander, who later became the Emperor of the French. In the year 1799, Napoleon brought the French Revolution to an end. He had many victories, retreats, and defeats. The ideas of the the French Revolution were liberty, equality, and fraternity. He both betrayed and fulfilled the ideals of the French Revolution. I am going to tell how Napoleon both betrayed and fulfilled the ideals of the French Revolution.
In the year of 1804, Napoleon crowned himself Emperor. I believe he wasn't thinking of his people, but only thinking of himself . He thought of himself as an absolute ruler .He went against the ideals of the French Revolution. Crowning himself Emperor, he went against equality.
