The French Revolution was an important event in Western history, and influenced western culture very much. Napoleon(took power in 1802) was one of the major character during that time. He brought the revolution to an end. People have different opinions about him. Some think that he’s a founder of modern state, some think he betrayed the revolution. Napoleon safeguarded many revolutionary ideas and somehow reinvented France.
