Music is a well-known skill that only few can expertise and jazz is especially a genre that only few can properly master. Jazz has become a well-known type of music all across America and one of the biggest influences for it was an African American man from Montgomery, Alabama. Born on March 17, 1919, Nat King Cole was born into a family of music and faith. (Nat King Cole: The World) Cole was highly skilled and most remembered for his talent for playing the piano and his soothing, baritone voice. Nat King Cole was a highly renowned jazz singer that shared nothing but kindness along with his talent for piano and his voice, despite experiencing racism and other hardships in his time.

His music has been spread all over and is still played to this day especially, “The Christmas Song,” with families sitting around the Christmas tree during the most wonderful time of the year. Jazz is one of the most difficult genres of music to properly master and get the proper feel for it. Anyone can play a jazz song, but only a few have the right feeling for it and Nat King Cole was one of the most wonderful at it. He had one of the most magnificent voices for it and played the piano like no other. He was incredible at the music pieces he created and shared nothing but kindness and his talent for piano and his voice with the world, despite experiencing many forms of racism.
