Robert Gould Shaw
Robert Shaw was a soldier in the Civil War. He supported the African Americans on joining the Military. Robert Gould Shaw was a reluctant leader of the famous 54th Massachusetts Infantry, one of the first African American regiments in the Civil War. I am giving Colonel Shaw this award for his bravery during the war. Shaw was killed in the charge, but he was bravely guiding his men and persuading them to go forward into the war. Shaw had the courage to step up and risk his life for his country.

Shaw led the 54th Massachusetts into war and lost to the Confederate. Shaw died of a good leader. Everyone liked him, he stood up for the african americans. He stood up for what he thought was right. He was offered
