In the play of William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, Prince Escalus states, “And for that offence, Immediately we do exile him hence.” (3.1.182-183) This quote exemplifies how the protagonists in the play had their choices uncontrolled for them. This stands out with great importance because the input of others can provide valuable suggestions and the avoidance of making mistakes. For instance, in the text, Friar Lawrence states, “Therefore love moderately. Long love doth so. Too swift arrives as tardy as too slow.” Yes on the opposing side this would prove that the advice of others may not always work expectational for another, however, on an opposing side, it is most ideal that their input provides essential insight and knowledge because it can aid in the evaluation of picking and choosing better decisions. And again, it can furthermore help avoid potential mistakes. Once more, even though the input of other opinions may not align with an individual’s personal values and situation, it is important to note that the person providing their opinion may have more experience, which has significance because it can aid in avoiding potential mistakes and gaining essential
