We experience obstacles in our own daily lives all the time. However, in my opinion, obstacles or disadvantages can turn out to be rewarding due to Rosa Parks overcome her obstacle of being sent to Birmingham prison. Also, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. overcame the challenge he faced such as being treated unfairly on lunch counters due to his skin color. In Montgomery, Alabama during the Civil Rights Movement, African-Americans were required to be seated in the back of the bus, while the whites can be seated in the front. However, Rosa Parks despised the fact that she couldn’t sit wherever she wanted, which led to her refusing to yield her bus seat to a white male passenger in Alabama. Due to this action, Rosa Parks was convicted and got arrested
