There is no exact origin of where soccer started because in ancient times, many different forms of ball games were played. Each country had a different sense of what they called soccer. Ball games were played in Brazil, China, France, England, and many other countries. In France, soccer was played in the military as many as 3,000 years ago! In these times they called it cuju which means Kick Ball. In France, soccer was a very violent medieval game that they called la choule. Soccer players have come from all over the world to play the game they love; this is one of the biggest impacts soccer has had on the United States. I have had a lot of fun playing soccer. I love the competition of the game. I am a very competitive person so soccer if definitely a good sport to play. I would recommend that everyone at least play a game of soccer to sort of test the ropes because it is a wonderful game to get into. Soccer is also a dangerous sport because of all the body contact. No matter what you are always going to be pushing someone or being pushed so that you or the other team can get the ball. Soccer also has a high risk of getting injured. So many people have torn ligaments or broken bones while playing soccer. For example, when I played soccer in eighth grade, I tore my Achilles Tendon while running during practice. I have yet to play soccer until this upcoming season. Although soccer is a more dangerous sport, it is definitely a great sport to get into. Being on a team is like having all of your family around you because no matter what, you know that there are going to be people on the bench constantly cheering you on.
